Many Truck owners have complained about cab resonance found in other aftermarket performance mufflers when installing performance mufflers on their Chevy or GMC Vortec 6.0 Trucks This is Aero Performance Exhaust´s solution to this very common problem. The STX 640 will give Vortec 6.0 owners the benefit of hi-performance gains without worrying about the need for a stock muffler that inhibits the flow and performance of their high-output engine.

The STX 640 muffler helps maintain a stock cab sound while having the benefits of a performance enhancing muffler. The unique design of the STX 635 allows for exponential flow increase while silencing the exhaust system´s overall decibel level. However, this muffler is only recommended for GMC and Chevrolet 6.0 vortec engine owners, other installations may need a Y pipe before the dual inlet on single pipe exhaust systems as it is only meant for one direction flow and cannot be reversed for single to dual configuration. Also please note that a 4" inch tailpipe may be needed as well. We recommend a our DT4050 as an exhaust pipe when considering this muffler as it is made for 4 inch systems.

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with any product you purchase from Aero Performance Exhaust or an Aero Performance Exhaust Official Dealer, you may return it within 30 days for a full refund or in-store credit. Returned items must be in "working" condition, with all original parts, accessories, manuals, etc., and must be re-packaged in the original retail box. If any of these items are missing, you will be charged at least a 20% re-stocking fee.

To return an item, you must contact Aero Performance Exhaust via phone or email within 30 days of purchase to obtain a Return Authorization Number. You must ship returns via a courier that provides tracking, and provide Aero with the tracking number. You will be responsible for paying the shipping costs for returning merchandise to us. If a returned item is lost or destroyed in transit, your account will not be credited for the return, and you will be responsible for obtaining reimbursement from the courier. We strongly recommend that you purchase insurance from the courier for returned items. Premium shipping (next day, 2nd day, etc) charges are non-refundable. Products purchased for race use are excluded. Special order items are excluded.

Aero Performance Exhaust Lifetime Warranty

Aero Performance Exhaust warrants that all Aero Performance Exhaust Mufflers are free from defects. The mufflers are warranted against blowouts and defects in material and workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the vehicle on which it was originally installed. The warranty is void if the muffler is not installed properly on the vehicle for which it is designed.

Installation on any commercial or racing vehicle or improper installation, altered mufflers, or products subjected to misuse or damage from accidents, voids the Aero Exhaust Warranty. Also, cost of labor and any additional parts required to complete installation of a replacement muffler are not covered by this warranty.

The warranty certificate, along with proof of purchase, must be presented to the service outlet from which you originally purchased the muffler, or any participating dealer, when making a claim for replacement. The original muffler must also be returned and exchanged for a new muffler of the same part number.

No other warranty, expressed or implied (including merchantability, sound, or usability), applies to the mufflers, nor is any person or the manufacturer authorized to assume any other warranty. The manufacturer does not assume any responsibility for any consequential damages occasioned by the muffler, or inconvenience or interruption in any operation.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.
